For millennia, the lower Dalalven (Dalälven) river has been subjected to periodic flooding wich has had a
very strong influence on the surrounding landscape. Coastal fens and riverside meadows are intermixed with old
growth forest and bogs. Farnebofjarden has a very rich bird life and is popular among anglers.
Area: 10,000ha, including 4,110 ha of water. Established in 1998.
